Job summary

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking an innovative engineering leader to head the next generation of delivery stations in a fast-paced environment. You will influence senior leaders across WW Engineering, Last Mile Delivery and Ops to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our last-mile systems.

You will manage large-scale programs, own roadmaps from inception to execution, and travel up to 50% to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent.
• Experience with design & innovation and research & development.
• Experience in management of engineering design projects.
• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Lead idea generation for innovative design/process solutions to existing operational problems.
• Create documentation to share innovative design/process solutions, process maps, design standards, etc.
• Generate structured plan to turn innovative design/process solutions from ideas to assessment, pilot and finally expansion.
• Own and deliver against plans, providing network reporting, financial approval and leadership approval for all stages of program progression.
• Act as SME expert in area of ownership, providing expertise to other Engineering teams, alongside providing challenge for suppliers and partners.
• Build large-scale business proposals based on innovation designs for WW Ops Engineering, often with ambiguity; collaborate with WHS, Planning, Launch, Procurement, Finance, HR, external partners and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget).
• Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible.
• Own internal process innovations across the Engineering Org, including owning road-mapping and planning for given area of responsibility and ensuring roadmap is delivered.
• Up to 50% regional and WW travel depending on business needs.
