Job summary

Amazon is seeking an innovative engineering project leader to design and deliver next generation fulfillment systems. The Urban Fulfillment team supports rapid Rural/Last Mile delivery expansion, driving design and standardization across the network.

You will develop and optimize complex storage, handling and delivery solutions, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to meet safety, cost and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required.
• Experience with material handling equipment or automation is preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution.
• Willingness to travel ~25% to vendor facilities and Last Mile stations.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to define design criteria and expansion.
• Develop design and analytical models to show feasibility and cost.
• Create and implement design processes articulating safety and operational criteria.
• Review designs and technical docs for approvals.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and optimization.
• Communicate clearly through written and oral documentation; manage projects with stakeholders.
• Travel up to 25% for site work and vendor visits.
