Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Design Engineer to support the North America LastMile Design Team. The role focuses on building design, process optimization, and standardization across the Last Mile delivery network, ensuring safety, customer experience, quality, and cost goals.

Travel up to 25% may be required. The position demands a strong background in industrial/manufacturing engineering with experience in automated material handling and project engineering within manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) at an advanced level

Responsibilities

Responsible for building design, development, review and release for approval, deployment of new delivery stations and existing station capacity improvements and enhancements.
Provide process expertise on engineering design including material flow, labor placement, conveyors, equipment, operations modules, packaging profiles, physical building and site layout components
Achieve the daily and weekly plan set in front of the Design Engineers.
Collaborate with Design Managers, CAD drafters, Real Estate Transaction managers, WWE, Pre-Construction and its architects, material handling equipment suppliers, Launch and Start Up teams, Finance, Volume Planning, and Capacity Planning teams among others.
