Job summary

RXO Inc. is seeking a Field Delivery Manager for Last Mile Operations in Alabama. You will lead field operations, coordinate with independent contractors, carriers, and client stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time home deliveries and optimize performance across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, relationship-building, and the ability to drive improvements with limited authority. Occasional travel within the territory and a focus on operational excellence are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, home delivery, or field operations.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• As the day-to-day field leader, you will work closely with independent contract carriers, client stakeholders, dispatch teams, and warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries.
• Drive operational performance across multiple delivery sites and client locations.
• Monitor key operational metrics including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Voice of Customer (VOC), Overall Satisfaction (OSAT), and service-level performance.
• Coach independent contract carriers and delivery teams to improve performance and service execution.
• Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support field operations and maintain strong carrier and client relationships.
• Identify future capacity needs and support carrier recruitment, onboarding, and network expansion initiatives.
