Job summary

GE Aerospace in Wisconsin is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Technician to provide hands-on support for laser and robotics/automation equipment in manufacturing operations. You will help sustain and improve critical equipment, assist with setup, and ensure safe, reliable production.

The role requires working with engineering, maintenance, quality, and operations to resolve issues, document activities, and support installation or expansion activities across the shop.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school diploma/GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience with lasers, optics, robotics or automation in manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for laser and robotics/automation equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and uptime.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes involving lasers, optics and casting.
• Support setup, startup, recovery and day-to-day production needs.
• Provide technical coverage for key manufacturing technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality and operations to improve processes.
• Support installation, readiness, startup and scale-up for new capabilities.
• Document maintenance and troubleshooting activities per site requirements.
• Develop and sustain standard work and equipment care practices.
• Maintain strong focus on safety, quality, compliance and excellence.
