Job summary

GE Aerospace in Wisconsin seeks a Maintenance Tech to install, move, and repair machine tool equipment and facilities. You will diagnose problems, dismantle, repair, replace parts, realign, adjust and reassemble as required, working from sketches, prints, and written instructions.

This role includes preventive maintenance, wiring and control circuits, welding, rigging, carpentry, and reading mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in industrial facilities maintenance including welding, machine tool repair, pipe fitting, plumbing, rigging, millwright, carpentry, painting, and/or industrial electrical systems.
• Knowledge of CNC machine tools and related shop equipment.
• Ability to interpret basic faulty circuit components of interfaced mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and modifying mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in shop math including fractions and decimals.
• Must be at least 18 years old by joining date.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, move, rearrange, and perform major/minor maintenance repair on all types of machine tool equipment and facilities.
• Dismantle, repair, replace parts, realign, adjust, and reassemble as required.
• Work may include construction, welding, plumbing, carpentry, rigging, millwright, and analyzing/correcting electrical power and control circuits.
• Maintain preventive maintenance program on equipment and facilities.
• Work from sketches, prints, and oral/written instructions; maintain necessary paperwork.
• Work to required levels of quality and efficiency; direct or instruct others as required.
• Perform related duties as needed.
