Job summary

Ace Precision Machining is seeking a Laser Technician to set up and operate lasers for precision cutting, drilling, trimming, and marking of aerospace components. The role requires mechanical aptitude and basic CNC/manufacturing exposure, with training on advanced laser processes under AS9100 quality standards.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Mechanical aptitude or hands-on manufacturing experience in lasers, CNC, robotics, or similar.
• Ability to read basic sketches and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor laser machines used for cutting, drilling, marking, or trimming sheet metal components.
• Read and follow engineering sketches, job routers, and process control sheets to ensure accurate part processing.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and visual inspection.
• Maintain production records and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP).
• Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve problems and support continuous improvement.
• Follow all laser safety and general manufacturing safety procedures.
