Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Technician to execute and optimize manufacturing processes, working closely with manufacturing engineers and production associates to resolve issues and develop new improvements.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, SOP development, and training staff, with a Fri-Sun 12-hour daytime shift and safety/compliance responsibilities across production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience with machine PLC/control systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Prior experience in a high-performance work team environment.
• Ability to work a 10 hour shift with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead role in resolving manufacturing technical issues through root cause problem solving and implementing permanent corrective action.
• Bridge between Manufacturing associates and Process Engineers to provide advanced problem-solving capabilities to production.
• Primary line of defense as process and machine issues arise in the shop.
• Build and maintain process Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Train and sign off individuals in production processes.
• Perform machine and process qualifications.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Interface with machine OEMs and internal contacts to convey technical requirements.
• Participate in EHS related actions to improve safety.
