Accumet Engineering Inc. is an industry-leading advanced processing manufacturer specializing in new and legacy materials fabrication, precision laser services, and critical component assembly. We are seeking an experienced Laser CNC Marking Machine Operator.

Primary responsibilities include setting up and operating various CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) equipment within the Marking Department. The ability to configure settings and make necessary adjustments is crucial for successfully completing jobs.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

You will be responsible for understanding and maintaining production processes or assemblies, ensuring quality and dimensional accuracy. Skills in using mathematical formulas to convert, scale, and modify programs are required. Basic fixturing using vices, v-blocks, rotary devices, as well as understanding CNC code (G Code), are essential. Following visual and written instructions, attention to detail, and producing quality parts are imperative.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, SolidWorks is a plus
• Familiarity with vector manipulation software like CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator
• Experience setting up and operating CNC laser machines
• Understanding of feed rates, power parameters, and material properties
• Basic programming knowledge, including G Code
• Experience with microscope work and light source inspection
• Ability to use measuring devices such as Verniers, Pin Gages, and CMMs
• Understanding of job flow and time management
• Professional demeanor
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience

Physical Demands

The role requires regular sitting, finger dexterity, handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, and communication abilities. Occasionally, standing, walking, and lifting/moving up to 10 pounds are required. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The environment may expose employees to fumes or airborne particles, with a moderate noise level.
