Job Title: Laser Marking CNC Machine Operator

Accumet Engineering Inc. is an industry-leading manufacturer specializing in advanced processing for new and legacy materials, precision laser services, and critical component assembly. We are seeking an experienced Laser CNC Marking Machine Operator.

Primary Responsibilities: Setting up and operating various CNC equipment within the Marking Department, adjusting settings to ensure quality, and contributing to the successful completion of jobs.

Essential Job Functions: Understanding and maintaining production processes, validating quality and dimensional accuracy, using mathematical formulas to modify programs, basic fixturing, understanding CNC code (G Code), following instructions meticulously, and ensuring high-quality parts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, SolidWorks (plus)
• Experience with vector manipulation software like CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator
• Experience setting up and operating CNC laser machines
• Understanding of feed rates, power settings, and material properties
• Basic programming skills, including G Code
• Microscope work and inspection skills
• Ability to use measuring devices such as Verniers, Pin Gages, and CMMs
• Understanding of job flow and time management
• Professional demeanor and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience

Physical Demands: Regularly sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 10 pounds, and specific vision requirements. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, with moderate noise levels.
