Job summary

Amada America, Inc. seeks a field service technician to support customers with laser cutting machines, with or without automation. The role covers installation, service, and ongoing learning about new machines and technologies.

The position includes regular travel within Northern California and Northern Nevada to ensure customer satisfaction and proper machine operation. Responsibilities include completing installations, generating service reports, and coordinating with departments for issue

Qualifications

Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proficient in using hand tools and electrical test equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication; professional customer interactions.

Responsibilities

Complete installation of machines and any automation components.
Follow up with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Submit weekly service and expense reports and necessary technical documentation.
Maintain excellent customer and colleague relations; ensure smooth information flow.
Manage internal paperwork such as urgent part requests and purchase requisitions.
Travel regularly to customer sites; document service activities.
