Job summary

Amada America, Inc. is looking for a technician to support customers with the installation and service of Amada lasers in Clifton, NJ. The role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, particularly in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

The successful candidate will manage equipment installations, provide training, and engage in regular travel within the assigned territories. A degree in Electronics or equivalent work experience is preferred.

The position offers competitive pay at $30.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical control systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and manage the equipment installation process.
• Effective communication in English; Spanish an additional asset.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with installation and service of Amada lasers.
• Complete status and expense reports regularly.
• Provide operational and programming training to customers.

Skills

Troubleshoot mechanical systems

Follow layout drawings and blueprints

Customer relations

Use of hand tools

Read mechanical and electrical drawings

Analyze and repair hydraulic systems

Use of Volt/Ohm meter and Oscilloscope

Education

4 yr degree in Electronics or 2 yr degree with experience
