Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Laser/Camera Test Engineer to ensure high-quality systems through rigorous testing and automation. You will troubleshoot infrared systems, develop test methods, and generate data-driven insights while collaborating with Design, Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.

This role requires a strong background in physics or engineering, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to communicate across interdisciplinary teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of manufacturing test and product sustainment experience.
• Experience with data acquisition and processing using MATLAB, Python, and other languages.
• Experience with test automation and report generation.
• Strong root cause analysis of non-conforming hardware, software, and firmware.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience integrating electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own test activities in production and ensure production test flow; troubleshoot infrared systems.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system checkouts to component-level validation.
• Create test work instructions for technicians in MES; train technicians.
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
• Maintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.
• Identify root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
• Collaborate with Design, Quality and Manufacturing to support returns and failure analysis.
• Contribute feedback to early-stage test design for NPIs.
• Analyze test data, document results, and provide reports identifying defects and improvements.
• Collaborate with design engineers for product enhancement feedback.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency and reduce test time without quality loss.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
