Job summary

Carter Hears! is looking for a Sign Language Facilitator for the 2026–2027 school year in Edgefield, South Carolina. Join an award-winning team dedicated to making a direct impact on the academic and personal success of students in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

This role involves using ASL, supporting language development, and collaborating with educators. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma and relevant ASL qualifications. We offer a supportive work environment and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• EIPA 2.5+, ASLPI 3+, or BEI Basic qualifications necessary.
• Experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use ASL, voice, gesture, and print as needed.
• Support student comprehension and participation.
• Collaborate with classroom staff to facilitate learning.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (REQUIRED)
• Associates or Bachelors degree in required field (preferred)
• EIPA 2.5+, ASLPI 3+, or BEI Basic (REQUIRED)
• Passed EIPA Written Test (preferred)
• NIC (preferred)
• Experience working with children (preferred)
• Background check, liability insurance, TB test
