Job summary

Carter Hears! is seeking an Educational Interpreter for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you will provide vital interpretations in classrooms, support student comprehension, and engage with educators to ensure effective learning experiences.

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, interpreting experience, and an EIPA score of at least 3.5. Background checks and liability insurances are standard requirements.

Qualifications

• EIPA written test is required.
• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is preferred.
• Background check and liability insurance are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, developmentally appropriate classroom interpretation.
• Support student comprehension and classroom engagement.
• Assist with hearing technology as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, developmentally appropriate classroom interpretation
• Support student comprehension and classroom engagement
• Monitor student comprehension, provide feedback to teachers, and assist with hearing technology as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)
• Experience in educational interpreting
• EIPA Written Test (REQUIRED)
• EIPA 3.5+ (REQUIRED) or NIC (preferred)
• Background check, liability insurance, TB test
