Job summary

Carter Hears! in South Carolina is seeking an Educational Interpreter for the 2026–2027 school year. The role focuses on creating accessible learning experiences for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational interpreting required, strong understanding of Deaf and Hard of Hearing needs.
• EIPA Written Test and EIPA 3.5+ or NIC certification required.
• Must pass a background check, maintain liability insurance, and complete a TB test.

• Provide accurate, developmentally appropriate classroom interpretation.
• Support student comprehension and classroom engagement.
• Monitor student understanding and assist with hearing technology.
