Job summary

Cerro Flow Products LLC, a Marmon Holdings company backed by Berkshire Hathaway, seeks a hands-on Lane One Production Supervisor to lead the lane's day-to-day operations in Sauget, IL. You will manage the line, ensure safety, and drive production targets with a team-focused approach.

You’ll coordinate schedules, equipment, and staffing, train staff, and monitor performance while maintaining records and promoting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
• Solid hands-on experience with various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read a micrometer and a tape measure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift as required by the job.
• Ability to work scheduled overtime.
• Experience leading in a unionized environment preferred.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assigning and coordinating all work on the Lane One production line(s), making sure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Implementing production schedules, methods, and processes, and allocating manpower and equipment to meet production targets.
• Planning work schedules and staffing levels so the area is adequately covered.
• Organizing material flow and inventory, and making sure your team has the tools, equipment, and materials it needs.
• Supervising and training production staff, including training new employees on jobs in your area.
• Monitoring work performance and giving timely, constructive feedback to improve productivity and quality.
• Owning the safety of your team: enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular area inspections, and addressing hazards or unsafe practices promptly.
• Coordinating with other departments and shifts to keep work flowing smoothly.
• Identifying operational and personnel issues and proposing solutions and improvements to the production process.
• Maintaining accurate records of production, safety incidents, and employee performance, and preparing reports as required by management.
• Other duties as assigned.
