Job summary

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk a minimum of 12 hours daily.
• This position requires complete mobility and the ability to withstand extreme outdoor environments.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, edging, and watering lawns.
• Weeding, mulching, and planting landscape beds.
• Trimming and removing trees, hedges, shrubs and other plants.
• Perform general maintenance duties such as clearing walkways, decks, and driveways.
• Ensure grounds are free of weeds and dead plants.
• Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
• Grade and prepare planting beds, lay sod, plant materials and seed.
• Perform daily maintenance on all equipment used according to the established maintenance schedule.
• Operate company trucks and equipment in compliance with established safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort is located on Fripp Island, South Carolina, a 3500-acre private island located at the end of U.S. Highway 21 South. It is the last inhabited island in a chain of islands leading from historic Beaufort to the Atlantic Ocean. During the summer, we are in full swing with Resort guests checking in and out every week. In the offseason, we see golf groups, many weddings, and winter renters.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to care and maintain the resort grounds and homes on the resort landscaping program. The landscaping staff is responsible for ensuring plant growth, cleanliness of outdoor facilities and pruning of hedges.
