Job summary

DJs Landscape Management is hiring a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader in Ann Arbor, MI. This hands-on leadership position directs crews, operates equipment, and ensures top-quality outdoor work on a daily basis.

Minimum 1 year in the green industry with supervisory experience is preferred. Chauffeur's license (or ability to obtain one) and a cell phone are required. This role promotes safety and skill development in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the green industry; supervisory experience preferred.
• Requires a Chauffeur's license (or ability to obtain one) and a smartphone.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and lift/carry as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a landscaping crew, prepare and drive company equipment, and ensure quality work in the field.
• Provide hands-on supervision and training while completing tasks such as mulch installation and edging.

Crew Leadersare responsible for preparing and driving company equipment,directing, and developing their crews to ensure quality work is performed, caring for equipment, and ensuring safety. In addition to leadership responsibilities, this is a hands-on position which allows you to take full ownership in accomplishing the work in the field.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience working in the green industry and/or supervisory experience is preferred for Crew Leader position
• Requires a Chauffeur's license (or the ability to obtain one) and a smart phone
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Desire to work with a team to accomplish goals
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift for extended periods of time
• Able to work outdoors in a wide variety of conditions for an extended period.
