Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Crew Member to handle lawn mowing, clean-ups, mulching, pruning, fertilization, weed control, planting, and related landscape tasks on assigned properties. The role emphasizes safe, efficient completion of landscape enhancement projects under guidance from the Crew Leader and Operations Manager.

The candidate should bring experience in landscape installation and the ability to read site plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years-of-age or older.
• Able to read architectural drawings.
• Able to safely work alone and display quality and thoroughness in work product.
• Ability to teach and train new laborers.
• Able to follow plans as shown on a map of property.
• Dependable; arrives on time and commits to the required hours for job completion that will vary based on weather/season.
• Organized, hardworking, safety conscious, punctual, leads by example, self-motivated, honest, and customer service-driven.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Accountable; follows directions and instructions provided.
• Solutions-oriented with the ability to apply feedback to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Running equipment (skid steer, excavator, backhoe, etc.)
• Carries out landscape maintenance functions on the job site with an emphasis on spraying weed control and other chemical applications requiring licensure
• Stores, transports, mixes and applies chemicals in accordance with the law
• Follows installation instructions and plans with the Crew Leader and Operations Manager
• Assists in loading and unloading equipment, tools, and supplies on truck
• Keeps equipment and areas clean and organized; adheres to safety policies
• Informs supervisor of problem areas on site, equipment or supply issues, or any accident or loss
• Performs other duties as required
