Job summary

Asplundh Careers is seeking a dedicated Crew Member to perform lawn mowing, mulching, pruning, planting, and general landscape maintenance on assigned properties. You will operate basic equipment and assist with chemical applications following safety policies.

The role requires reading plans, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a crew. On-site work in various weather conditions is common, with potential overtime. Competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read architectural drawings.
• Able to safely work alone and display quality and thoroughness in work product.
• Ability to teach and train new laborers.
• Able to follow plans as shown on a map of property.
• Dependable; arrives to work on time and commits to required hours depending on weather/season.
• Organized, hardworking, safety conscious, punctual, leads by example, self-motivated, honest and customer service-driven.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Accountable; dependable in attendance and timeliness, follows directions.
• Solutions-oriented with the ability to apply feedback to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Running equipment (skid steer, excavator, backhoe, etc.).
• Carrys out landscape maintenance functions with weed control and other licensed chemical applications.
• Stores, transports, mixes and applies chemicals per law.
• Follows installation plans with Crew Leader and Operations Manager.
• Assists in loading and unloading equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Maintains equipment and cleans used gear daily.
• Performs tasks safely and uses tools per safety policy.
• Keeps site and vehicles organized and safe.
• Reports issues to supervisor promptly.
• Participates in required training.
