Job summary

Landscaping Services, Inc. (LSI) in Middle Tennessee is seeking a motivated Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader to join a family-owned team.

You will supervise a crew, drive and operate 12-14' trailers and skid steers, install plants and hard materials, cut lawns, trim shrubs, and use various landscaping tools safely on-site. LSI offers full-time, year-round employment with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM, weekends off when possible.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, and talk or hear; able to lift 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate 12-14' trailers and skid steers.
• Install plants and other hard materials.
• Cut lawns with power mowers.
• Trim and edge using gas-powered tools.
• Operate gas-powered blower.
• Trim shrubs and low trees to shape.
• Use landscaping tools and heavy equipment as needed.
• Pickup leaves, trash, and grass clippings for disposal.
• Perform weeding by hand or with a hoe.
• Ensure safe equipment use and safety standards.
• Supervise a crew of employees.

The Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader is a critical part of our team who is responsible for:

• Driving and operating 12-14' trailers and skid steers
• Installing plants and other hard materials.
• Cutting lawns using various sized power mowers.
• Trimming and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer.
• Operating a gas-powered blower.
• Trimming shrubs and low trees to shape and improve growth or to remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs using shears, pruners, or gas-powered hedge trimmers.
• Using landscaping tools and operating heavy equipment as needed.
• Picking up leaves, trash, and cut grass and placing them onto burlap and placing onto a truck or trailer.
• Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe.
• Ensure use of proper equipment and adhere to safety standards and precautions.
• Supervising a crew of employees.

Skills We’re Seeking

• At least 1 year of landscaping experience is preferred.
• Management experience is preferred.
