Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station, performing loading, spreading and compacting of waste or soil. The role requires inspections, equipment operation (forklift, excavator, bulldozer, loader) and strict adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities include documenting equipment condition, minor servicing, reporting repairs and maintaining a clean work area, with a focus on efficiency and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Safely operate heavy equipment (forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader) per policy.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and report repairs or maintenance needs.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and document minor service, escalating major issues.
• Maintain a clean, serviced shop and follow all safety policies; perform other duties as assigned.
