Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate forklifts, excavators, bulldozers and front-end loaders at recycling centers, landfills or transfer stations. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, monitor waste, and complete reports.

Two years of heavy equipment experience and OSHA site experience are required. The role offers comprehensive benefits, PTO and a 401(k) match; pay ranges from $19.70 to $27.05 per hour depending on location.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Safely operate heavy equipment including forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and maintain equipment readiness.
• Perform minor equipment service and log reports; escalate major repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at shift end and adhere to safety policies.
