Republic Services is seeking a dedicated Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy machinery at recycling centers, landfills or transfer stations. You will transfer, spread, load, cover and compact waste or soil while following strict safety standards.

Two years of related experience are typical, with OSHA-site exposure. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork and adherence to company policies, supported by comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment per policy.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
• Check equipment condition to minimize downtime; clean tracks or wheels as needed.
• Perform minor servicing; refer complex issues to Maintenance Shop.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Keep shop clean, serviced and stored after each shift.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
