Union County, NC is hiring a Land Records Technician to enter and maintain real property land records, ensuring accurate data entry for land transfers, splits, and new constructions. You will assist the Tax Administrator and stakeholders with tax records inquiries and contribute to audit and reporting processes.

The role requires attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work with various departments and the public in a county government setting.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of tax or appraisal data entry experience.
• Associate’s degree or two years of tax, appraisal, or data entry experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Enter and maintain real property valuation data for land transfers, splits, and new construction.
• Maintain high accuracy and low error rate (5% or less).
• Assist Tax Administrator Office staff, lawyers, bankers, real estate agents, and the public with tax records inquiries.
• Answer inquiries about the assessment process and relevant North Carolina laws.
• Prepare letters and review audit and value edit reports from computer-generated data.
• Assist in quarterly Use Value property reviews and related correspondence.
• Handle deed entry for property transfers and related documents.
• May perform other clerical duties and data entry across Tax Administration.
