Job summary

Leader Communications is seeking a skilled Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician to support operation and maintenance of LMR hardware, software and infrastructure at Goodfellow Air Force Base in Texas. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.

Government Public Trust security clearance and full time availability. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and configure systems, document updates, and assist with installations and project work.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years related experience supporting similar systems and hardware.
• Related OEM manufacturers certifications.
• Proven hands-on experience repairing electronic communications equipment.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to pass a background check and obtain a CAC.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

LCI is seeking a skilled Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician support the operation and maintenance support for LMR hardware, software and infrastructure.

Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid U.S. Government Public Trust security clearance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance as scheduled per manufacturer and organizational policies and procedures.
• Accomplish troubleshooting, repair, replacement, updates, changes, and configuration of hardware, software, and infrastructure to support organizational changes, requests, issue resolution, and emerging technologies per policies and processes.
• Program, configure, test, and validate system changes per organizational policies/procedures, requests, and to resolve issues and ensure compliance
• Update and maintain all logs, records, and associated technical documentation, to include all related system and data updates.
• Provide support for installations, modifications, and other projects as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

Skill & Certification Requirements

• LMR system, hardware, software, and infrastructure programming, configuration, and support.
• Technical documentation and drawing review and updates
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing
• Telecommunications/cabling
• Request and ticketing system input/updatesStrong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, focusing on NFPA 70 and 800 Articles.
• Comprehensive understanding of TIA/EIA 568 Building Cable Standards.
• Strict adherence to federal OSHA safety standards across all active work environments.
• Valid OSHA Confined Space certification.
• Certified to perform CPR and act as an authorized safety observer or standby attendant when necessary.
• Capable of executing heavy work, including lifting loads exceeding 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and ascend ladders safely for prolonged operational shifts.
• Comfortable operating in active, hazardous, loud, or subterranean/dirty field environments.
