Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to lead land development projects in the Richmond, VA area. This role offers relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus, plus participation in RK&K’s annual bonus program based on performance.

The candidate will manage scope, budget, and schedule while directing project teams and coordinating with clients. A VA PE or ability to obtain is preferred, with 8–10 years of experience in land development and strong CAD/analysis tool skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer registration required (VA PE preferred or ability to obtain).
• 8–10 years of progressive land development design and engineering experience.
• Experience managing staff and working with clients.
• Experience preparing proposals and change orders.
• Expert knowledge of permit processes in authorities having jurisdiction.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydraFlow/HydroCAD/Storm & Sanitary Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management of assignments including scope, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate with clients to discuss progress and obtain feedback and direction.
• Perform engineering tasks and provide engineering direction to staff.
• Organize project teams and direct staff and sub consultants.
• Review and certify engineering documents to meet quality standards.
• Lead community outreach tasks and liaise with clients.
• Facilitate internal and client meetings and approvals of plans.
