Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Land Development team. The role focuses on delivering land development projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

You will work with internal groups and city staff to obtain approvals, manage multiple projects, and contribute to QA/QC processes while mentoring up to five technical staff. This position is on-site in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Min 4 years of land development engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or eligible for licensure within 6–12 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams.
• Proficiency in CAD/Civil 3D and related software.

Responsibilities

• Execute land development civil engineering projects to meet schedules and budgets.
• Support land development teams to produce civil plan sets.
• Effectively manage internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology) and communicate schedules/budgets.
• Implement QA/QC programs and ensure project compliance.
• Coordinate with City/County staff for plan approvals.
• Lead up to five assigned technicians; assign, review, train, and adjust compensation as needed.
• Handle RFI responses and site meetings with contractors.
