Job summary

Lennar in California is seeking a Land Development Manager to lead the division’s land development program, directing roadway construction, utilities, earthwork, and coordination with public agencies to deliver ready-to-build home sites.

You will work with Area Construction Managers and the Director of Construction, help create development budgets during entitlement, and oversee field operations, erosion control, and HOA management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or similar program preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in land development.
• Computer literacy, including word-processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling and data management software.
• Must be detail-oriented and a problem-solver.
• Travel required - work is in the South Bay (and further south).
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Valid auto insurance coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new projects on time using schedules, budgets, and permit compliance reports.
• Work with Area Construction Managers and Director of Construction to deliver ready-to-build sites.
• Assist in development budgets during entitlement and value-engineer design.
• Develop relationships with jurisdictional entities while maintaining land use rights.
• Oversee projects from permit approvals through construction, recording plat, final certification and community turnover.
• Manage field operations for land development including erosion control, grading, utilities, paving, landscaping, and amenities.
• Oversee HOA activities including quarterly meetings and budget analysis.
• Oversee bond maintenance and guaranty retrieval.
• Coordinate amenity centers and marketing windows.
• SWPPP management and compliance.
• Review project development budgets with Director of Development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
