Job summary

McClure is seeking a Land Development Staff Engineer to join our team in North Kansas City, MO. This role combines technical leadership with client-focused delivery across development projects, ensuring compliant engineering solutions from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering, is in Training, and has 5 years of experience. You will mentor junior staff, drive QA/QC processes, and partner with project managers to deliver high-quality results for clients.

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related field required.
Engineer in Training recognition required (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Partner with Project Manager or Team Leader to proactively solve problems and manage project design issues.
Actively work with the team to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
Implementation of the QA/QC process to ensure high-quality engineering solutions and plan sets.
Challenges the team to develop innovative alternative solutions to meet the clients’ needs.
Strong understanding of team’s technical engineering expertise.
Ability to build trust, manage workload, and achieve team and corporate goals.
Be able to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team environment.
