Job summary

LJA Land Development is seeking a Design Engineer to support feasibility studies, cost estimates, exhibits, construction plans, takeoffs, and development tasks for varied public and private clients. You will use AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, and other tools to design and produce project documents while collaborating with clients and team members.

The role emphasizes problem solving, hands-on experience, and growth within an entrepreneurial culture of employee-ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree from ABET accredited university (Civil Engineering Preferred).
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and structural/utility design basics.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical experts, peers, and support roles to perform design calculations and generate drawings.
• Expand engineering toolbox with advanced techniques and industry concepts.
• Investigate site conditions and constraints to inform design iterations and direction.
• Provide information to inform client and internal decisions on project objectives.
