Job summary

LJA Land Development is seeking a Graduate Engineer I to support design, production, and project administration using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office for public and private clients. You will contribute to feasibilities, cost opinions, exhibits, and bid packages while growing in a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET‑accredited engineering degree, FE eligibility, and experience with Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and water resources software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree from ABET accredited university (Civil Engineering Preferred).
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Water Resources Software (HEC‑RAS & HEC‑HMS).
• Passed the FE Exam.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team mentality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical experts, peers, and support roles to perform design calculations, prepare equipment or material specifications, and generate technical drawings and exhibits.
• Expand your engineering toolbox and vocabulary to add knowledge of advanced techniques, applied theory, industry concepts, and best practices.
• Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions.
• Work in an office equipped with meeting rooms, amenities, and excellent technology.
• Investigate existing site conditions, jurisdictional criteria, and constraints to inform design iterations and direction.
• Check-ins with your manager and other engineering mentors to identify areas of excellence and growth opportunities.
• Provide information or exhibits to inform client and internal leaders in decision making related to the execution or implementation of project objectives.
