Job summary

Bolton & Menk is seeking motivated Civil Engineering students for a 2027 summer internship. You will support design and construction activities for land development projects and gain on-the-job experience with a talented team.

The role focuses on assisting with reports, plans, cost estimates, staking, and construction observation in a dynamic outdoor setting across various communities. Ideal candidates are enrolled in Civil Engineering, have a GPA around 2.8 or higher, and have coursework in

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program.
Minimum GPA 2.8; Desired 3.2 or above.
Sophomore or above with completed coursework in surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation duties.
Valid driver’s license with own transportation or access to public transportation; travel reimbursed.

Responsibilities

Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
Assist with reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist with construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
Occasionally work on reports, complete design calculations, write specifications, and review shop drawings.
