Bohler’s Tampa, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience from concept to construction on real land development projects.

You will work with engineers, designers, and project managers, using AutoCAD Civil 3D to support concept, grading, stormwater, utilities, and erosion control plans while learning zoning coordination and site visits.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A self‑starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not yet proficient)
• Curiosity and motivation to learn within a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem‑solving

Responsabilités

• Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm
• Learn the stages of the land development and site design process
• Enhance your technical skills with hands‑on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design: Concept plans, Grading plans, Stormwater management plans, Utility system plans, Soil erosion and sediment control plans
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate and drive projects forward
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements
