Job summary

Bohler’s Frisco, TX office is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Spring 2027 to gain real project experience from concept to construction. You will work with engineers, designers, and project managers on active land development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D to support concept, grading, stormwater, utilities, and erosion control plans.

Qualifications

Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
A self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not proficient).
Curiosity and motivation to learn within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm.
Learn the stages of the land development and site design process.
Enhance technical skills with hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D design of concept, grading, stormwater, utilities, and erosion control plans.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward.
Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements.
