Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Chicago seeks a Civil Designer to collaborate with teams on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will design site layouts, utilities, grading, drainage, and permitting support using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to work nights or weekends when deadlines approach. Valid driver’s license and MS Office proficiency are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 3+ Years of Experience.
• Fluent English required; ability to work nights/weekends as needed.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to use AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout; assists in final construction drawings.
• Prepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies and supports entitlement processes.
• Interacts with project managers and clients; coordinates with multi-discipline teams.
• Attends client meetings and participates in business development efforts as needed.
