Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Chicago seeks a civil engineer to design residential, commercial, and industrial sites, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and support permitting and construction drawing production.

Responsibilities include site layout, grading, storm drainage, utility design, and client communication. Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience required; Green blue conditions apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering or related field.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
• Prepares and computes due diligence/site analysis reports, cost estimates, utility calculations, storm water reports.
• Assists in production of final construction drawings and permit applications.
• Supports project managers and communicates with clients and other disciplines.
