Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Lombard, IL is seeking a Civil Engineer to design residential, commercial, and industrial site projects. The role involves site layout, utility and stormwater design, permitting, and coordination with multiple disciplines to deliver constructible drawings.

Required are a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience; proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus. On‑site work with some evening meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 3+ years of Experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
• Prepares and computes, but not limited to due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis.
• Assists in production of final construction drawings.
• Prepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
• Assists project managers as requested.
• Assists with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Attends client and public meetings- days or evenings.
• Participates in business development efforts as requested.
