Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer – Land Development in Minnesota to work independently on smaller projects and as part of larger teams. You will evaluate and engineer civil systems, develop designs, and produce documentation for site plans and details.

The role requires a PE license or demonstrates the ability to obtain within six months and a minimum of five years of experience. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil systems and industry standards.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage projects of average complexity/size independently.
• Evaluate, specify, and engineer civil systems for projects.
• Develop designs through sketches and models.
• Create 3D models and provide markups for junior staff.
• Prepare site plans, diagrams, and construction details.
• Lead project coordination meetings with teams and clients.
• Participate in client requirements, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
• Assist senior engineers with scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• Lead preparation of project specs with construction documents.
• Perform calculations using standard software and manufacturer tools.
• Apply advanced techniques for analysis of civil elements.
• Contribute to constructability reviews and QA/QC.
• Help develop new standards for the civil group.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently.
