Job summary

Stantec in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Civil Engineer – Land Development to work independently on smaller projects and with a larger team under the guidance of a senior engineer. You will evaluate and engineer systems, perform calculations, and contribute to design through sketches and 3D models.

This role requires strong knowledge of civil codes, means and methods, and tools like AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and related standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in design and analysis of civil systems for land development projects.
• Prepare site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
• Coordinate meetings with internal teams and external consultants/owners.
• Perform calculations and develop 3D models of civil systems.
• Ensure quality assurance and control on projects and contribute to new standards.
