Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer – Land Development in Chicago, IL to work independently on smaller projects and as part of a larger team. You will evaluate and engineer civil systems, develop designs, and coordinate with clients and consultants.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and related tools is expected, with PE licensure or within 6 months of employment. This full-time role involves site plans, cost analysis, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers all civil engineered systems or products for a project.
• Develops design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visuals.
• Leads project coordination meetings with internal/external stakeholders.
• Performs calculations with standard software and manufacturer tools.
• Supports scope, budget, staffing, and scheduling.
