General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate semiskilled work directing and monitoring landfill traffic, performing light manual labor, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Senior Crew Coordinator.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of related industry, organization, and department policies, practices, and procedures; thorough knowledge of related industry, organization, and departmental legal guides, recommendations, best practices, ordinances, and laws; some knowledge of standard office and department specific equipment; ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time often in adverse conditions; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED and minimal experience working in a landfill, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing, frequently requires walking and occasionally requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work regularly requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasionally requires exposure to fumes or airborne particles and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment; work is generally in a loud noise location (e.g. grounds maintenance, heavy traffic).
