Job Description: Underground Construction Laborer

Join our team as an Underground Construction Laborer based out of Statesville, NC, and help connect America. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a dynamic work environment.

What you'll do:

1. Perform tasks related to the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling.
2. Hand dig using shovels and mechanical tools.
3. Climb into and out of equipment such as trucks, backhoes, trenchers, etc.
4. Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
5. Work in congested or remote areas.
6. Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and ensure safe coordination of movement.
7. Perform general construction work under the supervision of a Foreman or Supervisor.
8. Flagging, property or worksite restoration.
9. Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.

Who we're looking for:

• At least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior experience in the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
• Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
