You will coordinate staffing, implement new policies, and drive productivity while ensuring regulatory compliance with CAP/CLIA standards. Strong leadership, communication, and training skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related health science field or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Six years of clinical laboratory experience in a university setting, knowledgeable of CAP and CLIA standards and familiar with LEAN concepts involving process improvement.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, hand pipetting for extended periods and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative supervision of qualified personnel performing ordering, verifying, and reporting of laboratory and sendout tests.
• Schedule employees to provide adequate and equitable staffing in all areas.
• Supervise and coordinate daily operational activities.
• Provide staff with ongoing information, education, and assistance to perform their duties.
• Monitor and update workflow to achieve maximum productivity and quality.
• Serve as resource person for technical and procedural problems from staff, management, and outside institutions.
