Texas Health Kaufman is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the Laboratory Department. This full-time role partners with MT/Pathologist oversight, coordinates staffing, and ensures high-quality patient results in a fast-paced community hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has an MT/ASCP pathway, strong leadership, and CAP readiness experience, with a track record of improving lab processes and training staff. Join a newly remodeled lab with advanced technology and supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, or Clinical Science required.
• Must have 24 semester hours of science with designated chemistry/biology credits.
• CAP standards experience or readiness a plus.
• Experience conducting competency assessments a plus.
• 5 years under MT/Pathologist; 2 years leadership preferred.
• ASCP licensure (MT/CT/HTL/MLS/SCT) Upon Hire or equivalent license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees work schedules and personnel assignments for the department.
• Regularly suggests improvements and assists supervisor with changes.
• Performs complex laboratory procedures when needed.
• Reviews reagent QC and instrument maintenance.
• Participates in orientation and training of students, volunteers, and new staff.
