Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood in Houston, TX, is seeking a Laboratory Manager to provide technical and scientific oversight of the laboratory, ensure timely and high-quality testing, and support a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate holds MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification, a Bachelor\'s in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, and at least 7 years of full-time high-complexity lab experience. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to lead improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Certification as MT (ASCP), CLS, or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology is required.
• General knowledge of all Laboratory functions is required.
• Minimum 7 years full time laboratory experience in high complexity testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Technical and scientific oversight of the laboratory.
• Perform tests and assure the quality and timeliness of testing.
• Encourage an ongoing program of improvement of Laboratory services.
• Provide technical consultation for each of the specialties/sub specialties in the laboratory including respiratory dept.
• Provide support and be a clinical resource for staff.
