Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technology
• minimum of three (3) years in a clinical lab two (2) of which must be within assigned section of responsibility.
• MT/MLS/MLT ASCP or AMT is required.
• Must be able to read and write. Must have ability to learn/use computer software. Requires skill in obtaining lab specimens from all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate personnel, equipment, resources and testing procedures within the lab.
• Compile QA statistics, attend departmental meetings assigned by the director.
• Supervises training and educational programs to include regulatory compliance with CAP and Joint Commission standards.
• Update all procedures as regulations are updated and participate in data entry for PT results.
• Researches and provides technical support to Physicians for guidance on Laboratory testing and evaluates new technology.
