Job summary

Texas Health Kaufman is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the Laboratory Department. The part-time role is 24 hours per week, Fri-Sun 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at 850 Ed Hall Drive, Kaufman, TX 75142.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science, internship in an approved program, MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification or grandfathered equivalent. Preferred: 2 years in a medical laboratory and relevant state licenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science preferred.
• Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program required.
• 2 years experience in a Medical Laboratory preferred.
• MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification is required or grandfathered options.

Responsibilities

• Maintains specimen integrity throughout the testing process.
• Participates in orientation and training of students, volunteers, and new staff.
• Adheres to laboratory quality control guidelines and THR standards.
• Gives direction to technical staff and laboratory support personnel.

Skills
