Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Lab Technologist/Technician with supervisory experience to oversee laboratory personnel and ensure accurate, timely test reporting. The role supports physicians and nurses in patient care, conducts on-site training, and maintains testing records in a compliant, safe environment.

The ideal candidate holds a science degree with lab experience, CPR certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Employee must be 18 years or older and meet basic education requirements.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Associate degree in laboratory science or MLT with related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or chemical/biological science with experience.
• Strong knowledge of Medical Technology principles and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lab personnel to ensure quality and compliance with policies.
• Ensure test systems function properly before reporting results.
• Assist in physician, extender, and nurse patient care activities as needed.
• Submit staffing schedules and approve payroll for lab staff.
• Provide on-site training and evaluate competency of testing personnel.
• Maintain records of laboratory tests for two years and ensure safety.
